Your TV box is now a botnet soldier.
Kimwolf version 7 is currently recruiting Android TV boxes to launch HTTP/2 DDoS attacks using browser fingerprints. Because even set-top boxes need a side hustle.

The Full Story
Unit 42 discovered that version 7 of the Kimwolf botnet has evolved to turn innocent Android TV boxes and set-top boxes into DDoS cannons. Unfortunate owners of these streaming devices are affected as their hardware gets commandeered to construct browser fingerprints that evade simple traffic filtering. The malware even uses Ethereum Name Service endpoints and Tor .onion backups just to keep its command servers resilient against our pathetic attempts to stop it. Protecting our networks from Kimwolf v7 botnet malware requires filtering these HTTP/2 flood vectors before set-top boxes consume us all.
