ShinyHunters Go Back to School

Australian schools in Queensland have found themselves at the mercy of ShinyHunters, who have decided that Instructure’s Canvas LMS was far too secure for its own good. With 200 million people potentially impacted globally, it seems the hackers have achieved better engagement metrics than most actual teachers manage on a Monday morning. Guarding against this requires a massive overhaul of vendor security, though I imagine most will just change their passwords and hope for the best.
