The Full Story
It seems another seventy-four thousand Fortinet devices worldwide have generously left their usernames and plaintext passwords exposed on an open server for the world to enjoy. This marvellous design choice naturally affected a vast array of public and private sector domains, including some multinational giants who apparently forgot that firewalls actually need secure credentials. To protect ourselves from this absolute masterclass in negligence, we are once again forced to clean up the mess by changing these compromised credentials and securing our internet-accessible gateways before the inevitable happens.
