Our friends in Russian intelligence are now coaxing unsuspecting Signal users into simply handing over their recovery keys, proving once again that human nature remains our finest vulnerability. This particular spot of bother affects anyone trusting their secure chats to users who can be easily sweet-talked out of their keys by a phishing email. We supposedly protect ourselves from this absolute nonsense by teaching people not to surrender their digital house keys to friendly strangers, though I shan't hold my breath.
