An intrusion back in March resulted in 40,000 people having their information compromised while the company was presumably busy doing anything other than patching their perimeter. Perhaps if organizations treated network security with the same urgency as a last call at the bar, we wouldn't be witnessing yet another mundane disaster, though expecting competence is clearly asking far too much of the modern business world.
