The Full Story
It seems we cannot even rely on our trusty web servers anymore, as F5 has scrambled to patch a rather terrifying heap buffer overflow in NGINX. This critical flaw, labeled CVE-2026-42533, compromises any web administrator running unpatched NGINX instances exposed to malicious HTTP requests. Shielding our infrastructure from having its worker processes crashed or hijacked requires immediate deployment of F5's latest updates across every single web server we own. I am sure none of us had any better plans for our free time than auditing web server patches anyway.
