McKesson loses data and gets ransomed

McKesson has kindly admitted to a breach while ShinyHunters cheerfully demands a fifty-five million dollar ransom, because securing healthcare records is apparently far too much trouble. We protect our networks from these extortionists by doing the baseline security work we always neglect until the ransom note arrives on a lovely Monday morning. Same old story, just with a much larger price tag attached to the disaster.
