The Full Story
In another thrilling episode of why do we even bother, Gitea discovered that write access allows enterprising users to abuse the diffpatch API and plant malicious Git hooks. CISA has predictably added it to their catalog, politely demanding everyone remediate the mess before disaster strikes. Same story, different day for administrators who thought their repositories were safe.
