Happy Post-Patch Tuesday Everyone

Just as we finished our monthly patching ritual, a researcher named Nightmare Eclipse graciously gifted us a local privilege escalation zero-day. This lovely flaw ruins the day for anyone running fully updated Windows systems by letting attackers rummage through other users' registry hives. Since even fully patched machines are completely helpless against this, our best self-defence strategy seems to be weeping quietly at our desks. I suppose we just wait for next month's inevitably broken patches to arrive.
