Hackers took 4,000 bitcoin from Liquid Network and kindly returned 3,400 of them. Keeping nearly 600 bitcoin is just their modest consulting fee, I suppose.

Here we go again with crypto drama, as the Liquid Network gets relieved of nearly 4,000 bitcoin thanks to an Elements bug. Liquid Network victims are supposed to be grateful that the intruders politely returned 3,400 coins while retaining about 598.5 bitcoin for their hard work. Protecting ourselves from such digital heists apparently requires not letting software bugs bleed thousands of tokens onto the public blockchain. Just another Tuesday in IT where multi-million-dollar element bugs pass for normal operations.
