Cisco Unified Patching Catastrophe

Another day, another Cisco Unified CM disaster where the patch arrives just in time to be irrelevant. This affects everyone who was kind enough to let an unauthenticated attacker gain root access to their systems. Protecting ourselves would involve patching things before the exploit hits the front page, but that is far too much to expect in this day and age. It is truly refreshing to see such a dedicated commitment to failing at the most basic tenets of operational security.
