Canvas Breached But Nobody Panic Please

Here is a lovely treat for the higher education sector, with the ShinyHunters breach of the Canvas learning platform cascading down to over 150 UK universities. It is comforting to hear the damage is supposedly limited, though I am sure the affected IT teams are absolutely thrilled to spend their week auditing it. Securing our academic institutions from these vendor-induced headaches apparently remains a distant dream. I suppose we should just thank our lucky stars it was not worse, as if that makes the cleanup any more enjoyable.
