These ShinyHunters chaps have effectively emptied the digital pockets of millions of policyholders, leaving them to wonder if their PII is now the hottest commodity on the dark web. Protecting oneself would involve the Herculean effort of hoping the next firm actually understands cloud permissions. Until then, maybe just assume your identity is a public document and act accordingly.
