Billionaire bickering goes to court

The BBC is reporting on the delightful spectacle of the Musk-Altman trial, where the seedy underbelly of our supposed industry leaders is being thoroughly scrubbed in public. It has affected anyone who still harboured the quaint notion that these titans were motivated by anything other than colossal egos and bottomless bank accounts. We protect ourselves from this particular brand of nonsense by remembering that our tools are built by humans who are remarkably similar to the rest of us, only wealthier and more litigious. It is a sterling reminder to trust the math and the code, rather than the charismatic figureheads.
