Here we go again with Microsoft Authenticator on Android graciously letting rogue phone apps steal enterprise work accounts without needing permissions or user bother. Mobile device users and enterprise administrators get the privilege of dealing with this unhelpful breakdown. Naturally, our only defence is immediately updating the Authenticator application, because who does not love emergency mobile patching. Why do we even bother pretending security tools make our lives easier when we spend all day cleaning up after them.
