The Full Story
Austrian manufacturing firm Schreiner Trockenbau GmbH became the latest target for the Qilin ransomware group on August 1, 2026, because asking people to secure things is clearly far too much effort. Security monitoring services dutifully published incident reports to alert us about potential credential and supply chain exposure, as if anyone actually reads them. To protect our own organizations from this mess, we are expected to monitor credential and supply chain risks, which will undoubtedly be ignored until the next breach. Here we go again, pretending another threat feed report will magically solve our endless operational nightmare.
