Same story different day, as anyone running applications on official Node.js builds gets the joy of facing Imperva researchers' Node2Shell proof of concept. The only way we survive this fresh headache is avoiding the processing of malicious, crafted Brotli data that lets attackers run their own code. Why do we even bother writing software when compressed data is all it takes to trigger remote execution? It is just another Tuesday in IT where baseline runtimes find magnificent new ways to implode.
