Here we go again with edge appliances pretending to be security devices, as CISA confirms WatchGuard Firebox hardware is being warmly embraced by ransomware operators. The lovely CVE-2025-14733 out-of-bounds write flaw allows unauthenticated remote opportunists to execute arbitrary code directly on internet-facing perimeters. To protect ourselves from this latest perimeter collapse, we are once again urged to perform immediate remediation across unpatched Firebox units before the extortion notes inevitably arrive.
