The Full Story
The GFN.AM backend decided a two-month open house was the best way to handle gamer emails, phone numbers, and birthdays. Users across the service are now the unwilling stars of a phishing campaign because someone couldn't be bothered to lock the proverbial door. We survive this by treating every incoming email as a lie and remembering that our personal data is basically public property at this point. Do try to act surprised when the suspicious calls start rolling in.
